my grandmothers old sewing machine finally arrived in the studio. I can´t tell how much this means to me.
The machine is from 1960 and has no electric engine, I have to use my feet to make her run.

die nähmaschine meiner oma sah genau so aus! sie war hutmacherin und ich habe soooo oft zu ihren fürßen gesessen und zugeschaut, wie sie das pedal trat.

What a great memory. I'm so glad you got it. I have my Grandma's teapot in my office. Before she passed we sat down and had tea together. It always makes me smile. But for you, I think the sewing machine is wonderful.

The old good machine! It can sew enything, my grandma had similar. It is strong and reliable.
I have my grandma's sewing machine as well! I can't use it (bad, bad me), but it's a beautiful memory and amazing piece.

Wie cool, ich habe die gleiche Maschine mit einem anderen Nähschrank. Das Teilchen hat sich meine Ma von ihrem ersten Lohn gekauft als sie 15 Jahre alt war, also 1953. Ich liebe diese Maschine, wie gut man sie steuern kann, die elektrische hat dagegen das Nachsehen. Die gibt es nur für ganz dicke Stoffe...

this is just amanzing, I have an old singer from my man's grandma, it still works but I use it as a display for small things, I'm scared to use it. But I'm sure when you use it your Oma is right there with you.

Oh ich kann genau nachfühlen, was das für dich bedeutet!
ich habe hier auch eine alte Schranknähmaschine meiner Oma stehen :D auch von 1960 ohne Motor! Ist aber eine alte Veritas.
Leider bin ich zu blöd, diese Maschine zu bedienen :-( es entsteht immer nur Fadensalat...
Trotzdem eine tolle Erinnerung!
